No, this is not normal. Please ensure that the connection between the mat and the device is correct, especially the orientation of the arrow. We’ve included a picture below for your reference – the arrow should be facing up.

If you’re still having trouble, we recommend using a coil tester to check the mat. Place the tester in the middle of the mat and move it slowly. There are gaps between the coils in the mat, so as long as the tester light is on, it means that the items are working perfectly.
